Megan Holland, a 5'11" freshman goalkeeper, delivered one of the strongest debut seasons in the history of Kentucky Women’s Soccer. In her first collegiate campaign, Holland posted an impressive 5-1-3 overall record across 879 minutes, emerging as a cornerstone of Kentucky’s postseason run.
Holland was undefeated in SEC play with a 3-0-3 record while in goal, earning SEC Defensive Player of the Week honors after her dominant 4-save shutout at Texas A&M. She anchored the Wildcats to several program firsts, including Kentucky’s first-ever win over Texas A&M, the first SEC Tournament victory, and ultimately helped guide the Wildcats to the NCAA Tournament.
Statistically, Holland posted an elite 0.812 run-of-play save percentage, allowing only three run-of-play goals in six SEC matches. Her freshman season featured two full shutouts, a run-of-play shutout vs. LSU, and a remarkable 400-minute run-of-play shutout streak—a stretch that showcased her consistency, command of the box, and ability to deliver under pressure. With clutch saves in every conference match and standout performances against nationally competitive opponents, Holland quickly established herself as one of the top rising goalkeepers in the SEC.
Before arriving at Kentucky, Megan Holland was a multi-year standout with Rockford Raptors ECNL and Barrington High School. She is a three-time ECNL First And Second team All-Midwest Conference selection (2022–2023, 2023–2024, 2024–2025) and a three-time Illinois High School All-State goalkeeper (2023, 2024, 2025). She represented Capelli Sport on the North American Team DK Tour as team captain, and competed in two ECNL National Selection Games. Holland also earned recognition as a USYNT Talent ID Center invitee, an ODP Regional Team selection, and the IMG Academy Goalkeeper of the Week. 4.615 GPA on a 4.0 scale
